Who are we?
We are a group of volunteers who are patients at Mattishall and Lenwade Surgeries.
What do we do?
We meet on a regular basis together with health professionals to ensure that patients are given a ‘voice’ within the GP practice. We currently meet every two months but keep in contact via a WhatsApp group and emails.
It is the PPG’s responsibility to ensure that plans, services and activities respond to the patient’s priorities and needs.
We will act as a critical friend to Mattishall and Lenwade Surgeries.
Benefits of a PPG?
- Improved communications between patients and staff
- The PPG provides a way for the practice to test ideas and suggestions to the patients
- The patient’s view will always be represented in local health care
- Patients will have an organisation through which they can help others in need
Patients will be able to use the PPG to suggest positive ideas and voice concerns
